The Sacramento County Public Law Library Civil Self-Help Center, operated by the Voluntary Legal Services Program of Northern California, is on the first floor of the Sacramento County Public Law Library located at 813 Sixth Street, Sacramento (the corner of Sixth and H Streets.)  The Law Library is easily accessible by light rail, and local street and lot parking is available.

Due to the limited resources available, we regret that we cannot take telephone calls or respond to emails.  All services have to be provided in person at our office.  Our general information telephone number, with recorded information about the Self-Help Center, is (916) 874-7787.

Our office hours are:

Monday:  9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday:  9:00 a.m. to noon
Wednesday through Friday:  9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The first Saturday of each month:  9:00 a.m. to noon

We are closed on Tuesday afternoons beginning at noon.  As we close promptly at the end of our work day, please do not wait until the last moment to seek help from us.  We are also closed on Sacramento County Superior Court and Sacramento County Public Law Library holidays.
