We have recently moved from our court house location and will begin service starting on July 6th.
The Sacramento Court Civil Self-Help Center is a project
operated by the Voluntary Legal Services Program of Northern
California, a nonprofit legal aid organization, at the Sacramento County Public Law Library.
The Civil Self-Help Center provides limited help to any person who does not have an attorney and whose legal matter is either venued in the Sacramento County court or for people who live in Sacramento County who have questions regarding general civil legal matters.
The Civil Self-Help Center generally provides help with the following types of issues:
- General information about civil cases and court procedures
- Simple Complaints or Answers to Breach of Contract cases
- Simple Complaints or Answer to Personal Injury and Property Damage cases
- Fee waivers
- Proofs of Service by Mail
- Motions to Set Aside Defaults
- Case Management Statements
- Name changes (by workshop only)
- Discovery responses
