WELCOME


We have recently moved from our court house location and will begin service starting on July 6th.

The Sacramento Court Civil Self-Help Center
is a project operated by the Voluntary Legal Services Program of Northern California, a nonprofit legal aid organization, at the Sacramento County Public Law Library.

The Civil Self-Help Center provides limited help to any person who does not have an attorney and whose legal matter is either venued in the Sacramento County court or for people who live in Sacramento County who have questions regarding general civil legal matters. 

The Civil Self-Help Center generally provides help with the following types of issues:

Please note that the Civil Self-Help Center does not provide help with the following types of matters:  family law, traffic issues, criminal law, probate, juvenile delinquency or dependency, or landlord/tenant matters.  Please refer to the website of the Sacramento County Superior Court www.saccourt.com for further information about help available for some of these types of legal issues at other court-based projects.
